A leading global lifestyle brand management company manages a diverse portfolio of apparel, accessories, and footwear brands across international markets. To support fast-moving, fashion-driven business cycles across regions, channels, and systems, this client organization relies on integrated, scalable data operations that enable real-time visibility, cross-functional analytics, and informed decision-making at a global scale.
Behind the scenes, however, data and reporting had become a growing challenge for the enterprise. Disparate BW systems were costing the company millions of dollars each year in licensing and operational overhead. At the same time, business-critical reporting was scattered across multiple locations, leading to inefficiencies and inconsistencies.
An upcoming migration to SAP S/4HANA, meanwhile, raised the stakes even further: threatening reporting continuity and making it difficult to integrate legacy systems with the new enterprise information standards. Without a clear path forward, the client was faced with rising costs, unreliable insights, and the unmitigated risk of disruption during a high-stakes ERP transition.
The client enterpise turned to Hakkoda as a strategic data partner to help reimagine reporting in a way that would both reduce costs and future-proof operations against the upcoming ERP migration. To that end, Hakkoda began by working closely with internal teams to identify the enterprise’s most critical reporting needs. Rather than attempting a one-to-one lift of legacy reports, our team designed a blueprint that mapped these requirements into reusable data products. This approach not only streamlined reporting but also laid the foundation for a scalable, domain-driven strategy that would support the business well beyond the SAP S/4HANA migration.
With this blueprint in place, Hakkoda next implemented best-practice modeling strategies to ensure accuracy and consistency across all data domains. Snowflake was deployed as the central data platform, enabling reliable, high-performance access to information across the enterprise. To bring reporting to life for business users, Sigma was introduced as the visualization layer, delivering real-time dashboards that translated complex data into actionable insights.
Finally, Hakkoda focused on enablement and long-term adoption. We delivered hands-on training and clear documentation to empower internal teams with the tools they needed to succeed. By putting a unified reporting strategy in place before ERP implementation, Hakkoda helped the client reduce risk, cut project timelines, and unlock significant cost savings while ensuring that reporting remained both reliable and future-ready throughout the SAP S/4HANA journey. Together, this solution amounted to roughly $1M in predicted annual cost savings.
